🔺 ASCENSION SCALE
A visual interpretation of emotional expansion and contraction expressed through color, geometry and hierarchy. The inverted triangle symbolizes the movement between density and awareness — from shame and fear to clarity, love and consciousness.
Inspired by emotional mapping systems, meditative philosophy and chromatic resonance, the work explores emotion not as weakness, but as a spectrum of human experience. The softened gradient creates a tension between stillness and intensity, transforming emotion into atmosphere rather than instruction.
The piece acts as a symbolic map - an invitation to observe emotion rather than suppress it.
The collection explores emotion as a visual language - a recurring theme throughout Thea Elise Klingvall’s artistic practice.
Through gradients, gemstones, frequencies, symbols and nostalgic forms, the works investigate the emotional spectrum not as something to suppress, but as something to observe, understand and ultimately embrace. Inspired by meditative traditions and emotional mapping systems, the collection reflects the belief that awareness and acceptance are essential for growth.
In a time where IQ is often prioritized, the series asks what happens when we begin paying closer attention to EQ — our emotional intelligence, our inner patterns, our relationship to fear, longing, love, shame and expansion.
Rather than presenting emotions as weaknesses or obstacles, the works frame them as states of resonance: shifting frequencies within the human experience. The visual systems act as maps — tools for reflection, alignment and emotional overview.
Created together with Crystal Haze’s playful and nostalgic universe, the collection softens the entry point into these themes. The use of candy-colored symbols, gradients and collectible aesthetics creates a contrast between depth and accessibility, making emotional exploration feel less clinical, less hidden and perhaps even joyful.
At its core, the collection is an invitation:
to stop resisting emotion,
to stop categorizing parts of ourselves as failures,
and instead begin observing them with clarity, honesty and acceptance.
Because nothing truly transforms through denial - Only through awareness.
“We often try to control emotion to fit our preferred reality, instead of understanding what the emotion is trying to reveal.”
